A Coralville woman was taken into custody late Thursday night after an alleged assault on her long-time live-in boyfriend.
According to police, 39-year old Mindy Scott of Holiday Road and the man were in an argument over Scott’s phone just after 11:00pm when she is accused of jumping on the man, scratching both sides of his neck.
Arriving police say that there were visible scratches and redness on both sides of the man’s neck, and during the subsequent investigation, Scott allegedly admitted to putting the scratches on the victim.
Scott was charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to two years if convicted.
