An Iowa City woman was taken into custody after an alleged domestic incident at a Coralville hotel Tuesday morning.
According to arrest reports, officers were called to the Radisson on First Avenue just after 7am on reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they located the male victim of the reported incident.
The man allegedly had evidence of a recent physical altercation, including fresh scratch marks on his face, head and arms, a torn t-shirt, blood under his nose, and a mark on his upper right arm whose source was undetermined.
Officers spoke to the other party, 39-year-old Regina Pulley of Court Street, who along with the man told them that they were boyfriend/girlfriend, fiance’s, and had lived together within the past year, as recently as last month.
Pulley was charged with Domestic Assault Causing Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year if convicted.
A no-contact order was requested between the two parties.
Pulley faces previous charges of Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury, Assault while Displaying a Weapon, and two counts of Child Endangerment after police were called to a Whispering Meadow Drive residence on February 7th. Pulley is accused of hitting her 16-year-old daughter with a 1-by-4 wooden slab from a bunk bed while her six-year-old daughter was in the next room during the reported ten-minute incident. A case management conference is scheduled for April 17th with jury trial set for June 16th.
