The Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center is helping those pet owners who are experiencing financial hardship during the coronavirus outbreak.
The center is accepting food donations for dogs, cats and small animals while fulfilling all requests as they are able.
Residents who need food for their pets should call the shelter at 356-5295, where they will get instructions on how to pick it up.
Pet food donations are also being accepted at the east door of the Shelter, and you can make a monetary or food donation at Leash on Life. They’re at 354-4434, or www.leashonlife.net.
The Animal Care and Adoption Center is currently closed to the public, but are tending to the animals in their care. You can contact them if you have specific questions or needs regarding your pets.
