North Liberty man with history of domestic abuse convictions accused of making threats with baseball bat

A North Liberty man with a history of domestic abuse convictions faces charges that he threatened a member of his household with a baseball bat.

North Liberty Police say 56-year-old Frank Hawkins was involved in a verbal argument with a member of his household at their Savannah Drive residence just after 8pm Saturday.

The argument escalated, and Hawkins allegedly threatened to harm the other subject while holding a baseball bat.

Hawkins is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – 3rd or Subsequent Offense. If convicted, he faces a maximum of five years in prison.
