University of Iowa students who have been living in residence halls have begun moving their belongings out after the announcement that residence halls will be closed indefinitely.
The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that students have a 10 day window ending March 29th, and are given a two-hour window to get in, get their possessions, and get out.
Correspondence from the University stipulates that any guests coming to help students with the move-out must be symptom-free.
As with the U of I, Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa is restricting residents to those who have no other housing options, such as being from another country.
The Gazette reports that some students wish the university would have given them a little more time to make preparations to leave or find other housing in town.
