The HyVee food store chain has been making operational changes to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
Earlier this week, the company announced that they were shortening hours to 8am to 8pm daily and reserving the 7am hour for customers deemed high-risk. Most pharmacies are expected to also be open at 7 to accomodate their customers.
Effective Friday, customers will not be allowed to bring in reusable bags and totes until further notice, as it is difficult to monitor the cleanliness of those bags.
Stores will also start installing temporary window panels at checkout stations to provide an additional layer of protection between cashiers and customers.
