The University of Iowa has revealed that a denistry student has tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a campus message Thursday, the student self-identified that they tested positive and notified college leadership. They, in turn, immediately contacted Johnson County Public Health.
The unidentified student was last on campus March 12th and doesn’t live in any of the school’s residence halls. The message says the person is in self-isolation off campus.
The school has notified everyone that the person had close contact with, including one patient the student treated.
Earlier this week, the College of Dentistry suspended all patient visits.
