CR woman accused of driving vehicle into Iowa Lodge doorway

A Cedar Rapids woman was taken into custody Tuesday morning after allegedly driving her car at the father of their child.
According to police, 25-year-old Lakeisha Bailey of 3rd Avenue Southeast got into an argument with the man, who has an apartment at the Iowa Lodge on the Coralville Strip. At about 10:40am, Bailey reportedly drove her Toyota Camry into the doorway of the apartment while the man was standing in the doorway.
Bailey’s car allegedly damaged the doorframe and side of the building. There were no reports of injury to the man.
She’s been charged with 4th degree criminal mischief and Domestic Assault with intent to inflict injury. If convicted on both charges, she could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.
