The Iowa Dental Board is recommending elective care to be postponed for a three-week period.
In a release Tuesday, the board said that dentists are in the highest risk categories for both transmission and contraction of the coronavirus and are following recommendations from the American Dental Association to postpone elective care.
Staffing is being limited to one doctor, two assistants and one to two people to answer phones, reschedule appointments and assist anyone with emergency needs.
