United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties has activated their Emergency Volunteer Center to connect volunteers with the COVID-19 related needs and opportunities.
Volunteers can sign up at www.covid19volunteers.org; organizations or individuals that need volunteers should call 319-337-8657 or send an email to Patti.Fields@UnitedWayJWC.org.
United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties is designated in the Johnson County Disaster Plan as the coordinator for disaster-related volunteers before, during and after a disaster.
Johnson County officials will hold a news conference this afternoon at 1 to provide updates and additional news regarding the coronavirus community spread. It will be streamed live on the Johnson County Public Health Facebook page.
