The City of Iowa City is urging residents to stay home as part of the collaborative effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
In a release from the City, leaders are applauding the local businesses who have made the difficult decision to close or limit hours and services, and are urging others to do the same.
In Cedar Rapids, they’ve requested that all bars and restaurants be closed today and to significantly limit patron activity until further notice.
The White House has requested that people avoid social gatherings in groups of 10 or more people, suggests that people use delivery or curbside pickup if possible when patronizing restaurants, and to avoid discretionary travel, shopping trips, and social visits.
