North Liberty Police responded to a report of shots fired early Saturday morning.
According to a news release from the city, at approximately 2:20 a.m. officers with the North Liberty Police Department responded to the 500 Block of Penn Court in reference to a report of several gunshots. Multiple callers reported there were multiple gunshots and several cars leaving from the rear of 580 N Madison Ave., and a subject running with a gun.
Arriving officers located several spent shell casings in the rear parking lot of the building. Officers also observed holes in the rear of the building that were consistent with bullet holes. At this time there are no known victims.
The investigation is ongoing.
