A guest at Shelter House was taken into custody Monday after allegedly striking a worker there.

According to police, the incident occurred just before 5:30pm, when 59-year-old Michael Brown of Pasadena Texas confronted a worker at the Shelter House on Southgate Avenue about not being allowed to have his property stored on top of his locker.

The worker involved took the property off the top of the locker and placed it on the floor, which reportedly upset Brown. He allegedly became aggressive towards the worker, punching the man in the left side of his face, causing a reddish bruising and drawing a bit of blood from his left eyebrow.

When interviewed by officers, Brown reportedly denied punching the worker in the face but did admit to the confrontation.

Brown was taken to the Johnson County Jail and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a maximum jail sentence of one year. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties involved.
