Employees of an Iowa City Hy-Vee weren’t bringing a friendly smile to at least one aisle last weekend after a Shelter House resident urinated inside the store.

55-year-old Curtis Seals has been trespassed from the Waterfront Hy-Vee on multiple occasions, and is currently banned from the store. Iowa City Police say Seals ignored the ban and entered the store around 8pm on Saturday, February 1st.

Staff told Seals to leave, but he ignored them and stayed inside. As the employees continued to tell Seals to leave, he urinated inside the store.

Seals was charged with Trespassing and Public Urination. He pleaded guilty to both charges Monday and was fined $265.
