A one-vehicle accident near Solon has led to the arrest of a Cedar Rapids man.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office was called to a car in a ditch near 4208 140th Street at 6:30 Friday night. Arriving officers found 23-year-old Cameron Bearce of Wellington Street Northeast outside his Chevy Equinox. He allegedly admitted to driving the vehicle and drinking alcohol. Investigators say he smelled of ingested alcohol and showed multiple signs of intoxication. He also allegedly failed field sobriety tests, had poor balance, and registered blood alcohol content readings of .217 and .282.
Bearce was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense.
