A fight at a Coralville restaurant led to the arrest of a man after he allegedly brandished a knife in a threatening manner.

Arrest reports indicate that 36-year-old Josue Ortega Mendoza of Boston Way and another person were fighting at 1201 Kitchen and tap on First Avenue Thursday night at 9:10 when Ortega Mendoza reportedly struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and wrestled him to the ground.

Reports say that Ortega Mendoza followed the victim into the kitchen area, where Ortega Mendoza picked up a knife and faced the man in what is described as a threatening manner.

Ortega Mendoza was arrested and charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years if convicted. A no-contact order was requested between the two involved.
