A university of Iowa student has been arrested after an altercation at the Riverside Drive McDonald’s drive through last week.

According to police, 18-year-old Benjamin Bougadis of Burge Hall went to the restaurant a little after 8pm on January 21st. When the employee handed Bougadis his drink, he allegedly took the cub and threw it back in the window.

The cup hit the employee in the face and broke open the inside of the woman’s lip, causing it to bleed.

Boudagis was taken into custody early Thursday morning and charged with assault causing bodily injury, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years if convicted.
