The Johnson County Board of Supervisors are inviting the public to a series of three meetings where they’ll be able to provide input for the design of a wellness trail at the Johnson County Historic Poor Farm on Melrose Avenue.

The first meeting takes place this afternoon from 2-4 across from the site, at the county Secondary Roads and SEATS building at 4810 Melrose Avenue.

Additional meetings are scheduled for 1-3pm Saturday February 8th at Merge on South Dubuque Street and 6:30 to 8:30pm on February 13th, also at Merge.

Backyard Abundance, who is hosting the meetings in conjunction with the Supervisors, offers a website where residents can indicate which meeting they can attend, or vote on the proposed features of the trail at www.backyardabundance.org. They’re also providing vouchers that can be redeemed for a free plant at the group’s plant sale on April 25th for attendees.
