A man was taken into custody late Monday for an alleged domestic assault in Lone Tree.
According to police, 35-year-old Joseph Rhodes, whose address is listed on McArthur Street in Muscatine, came home to a residence he shares with the woman on Marner Drive at about 11pm Monday. Rhodes was allegedly highly intoxicated and confronted the woman, who reportedly has video of Rhodes charging at her and being verbally abusive.
Rhodes is also accused of spitting on the woman before he left.
Rhodes was charged with domestic abuse assault first offense, a simple misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to 30 days.
