Joe Biden’s name was getting a lot of airtime Monday during the impeachment hearing. As for Biden, he was in Iowa City Monday calling President Trump’s defense team out for accusations of corruption.

The Press-Citizen quotes Biden as telling them, “All of a sudden the president is interested in corruption? Well, Mr. President, I released 21 years of my tax returns. You can see everything I’ve done. Mr. President, let us know what you’re hiding.”

Polls of Iowa caucus goers released Monday had different outcomes. In a USA Today/Suffolk poll, Biden was holding the lead he had when they polled voters in December. But one from Emerson College showed Bernie Sanders with a significant lead.

While Biden was speaking in Iowa City, a political action committee was holding a protest at his statewide campaign office. Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement Action Fund and Iowa Student Action were demanding to speak with Biden about what they categorize as ongoing lies about Medicare he is spreading. Five protesters were arrested Monday night.

Meanwhile in North Liberty, South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg spoke to a group at Liberty High School, saying he’s come a long way from when he first announced his candidacy, but said “now, it’s decision time.”

Andrew Yang is due to appear at Noon Wednesday at the Iowa Memorial Union.

Organizers say that Monday’s Democratic Caucus could have record attendance. Voters can find their caucus location at www.iowademocrats.org  or www.iowagop.org .
