A North Liberty man was taken into custody after allegedly being caught with items from an Iowa City farm.
Police say 35-year-old Morgan Elwood of Mehaffey Bridge Road Northeast was called in as a suspicious person at a farm in the 4300 block of Morse Road at approximately 5:35pm Monday.
When police arrived, Elwood was reportedly nervous and wanted to leave the area. She allegedly had several old barn items in her vehicle. When questioned, Elwood reportedly said that it possibly belonged to her and came from the barns on the property. She allegedly then admitted that she had taken the items, and unloaded everything that she took.
Elwood was taken into custody and charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison sentence of up to five years.
