If you have a warrant out for your arrest, it’s probably not a good idea to call attention to yourself by doing donuts in the freshly-fallen snow. An Iowa City man found that out early Monday morning.

According to police, they observed 27-year-old Marshall Alexander Yoder-Cook of Leonard Circle in the parking lot of the Fareway on Westwinds Drive at approximately 12:22am Monday. He was allegedly doing “donuts” in the snow, driving in a reckless manner. Yoder-Cook allegedly hit a curb in the parking lot as well.

A check of his driving record showed his status a barred as a habitual offender. He was also wanted on a probation violation since December 5th.

Yoder-Cook was taken into custody and charged with driving while barred as a habitual offender, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison term of up to two years if convicted. He had been charged with his first OWI on July 26th, a serious misdemeanor.
