An area transient has been jailed after allegedly violating terms of her probation.
According to court documents, 46-year-old Trina Thompson was on probation after allegedly purchasing a car with a bad check back in March of 2019.
On December 17th, Thompson’s bond conditions were amended to allow her to participate in an inpatient residential treatment program at Prelude. However, officials were notified on Tuesday that Thompson was being unsuccessfully discharged due to disciplinary reasons. They alleged that she has had ongoing issues at Prelude, including an ongoing conflict with another resident.
Thompson is accused of cussing, yelling and using rude gestures during her stay, and although Prelude staff intervened numerous times, she refused to change her behavior.
Thompson is also accused of booking a room at the Hilton Garden Inn this past September and damaging a TV, leaving red dye all over the bathroom and smoking in the room against hotel policy. Those charges were dismissed when she was sent to Prelude.
Thompson was arrested and booked into the Johnson County Jail Tuesday afternoon and charged with violation of probation. If she’s convicted on the original charge of 2nd degree theft, Thompson could be sentenced to five years in prison.
