The owners of the Clarion Highlander Hotel and Conference Center on North Dodge Street want to restore the hotel to its old glory days as the Highlander Inn and Supper Club.

According to the Press-Citizen, Catalyst Development president and CEO Angela Harrington plans a $5 million renovation to reposition the Clarion as a new boutique hotel called “The Bohemian”.

Plans include landscaping the courtyard, reconfiguring the lobby and adding garage doors to the pool area to open it up during warm weather.

Harrington says another goal is to keep the number of hotel rooms at around the current 90.

Catalyst is currently looking for investors for the project. No table table for the renovations has been set.
