The Iowa City Community School Board will lose an incumbent after the November election.
Member Lori Roetlin has announced that she will not seek reelection.
She joined the school board in 2015 and told the Press Citizen that during her tenure she sought to give a voice to students across the district, especially those most vulnerable.
She added that it was a difficult decision, and thanked the community for their support during her term.
