Iowa State University Athletic Director Jamie Pollard has expressed frustration over the lack of information regarding inappropriate actions against the University of Iowa band during Saturday’s Iowa-Iowa State football game in Ames.

In a news conference Tuesday, Pollard said that it’s hard for him to comment on the situation because all his school knows comes from Iowa’s press release.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette quotes Pollard as saying, “I couldn’t tell you what happened, when it happened or where it happened. No one has been able to ascertain that information and provide it to us.”

Pollard added that four officers were with the band the entire day and no one reported anything inappropriate.

The athletic director said he would look into the matter when provided specifics of what, where and when the alleged incidents occurred so that they can check video surveillance from the numerous cameras placed around Jack Trice Stadium.

Although there has been acknowledged bad behavior on both sides, the schools have agreed to continue playing each other. Their current contract runs through 2025.
