It’s that time of year again.
First-year University of Iowa students will begin moving into residence halls next week.
The move-in is scheduled in shifts over a three-day period starting Tuesday. Each day will have a 9am-noon and a 2-5pm window for students to get situated.
To accommodate the move in and avoid construction, Clinton Street will be reduced to one-way northbound traffic beginning at the corner of Clinton and Market streets, continuing where Clinton becomes Church Street, and ending at the intersection of Church and Dubuque streets.
On the west side, students moving in should plan to use Grand Avenue.
Those bringing trailers or moving trucks are encouraged to arrive after 6pm on move-in days to reduce congestion.
Early move in day is this Sunday from 9am-Noon and 2-5pm. Students wishing to move in that day need to sign up online and pay an early move-in fee of $35 per day.
Returning students move in on Saturday August 24th.
