Refusing to stop during what started as consensual sex has led to an Iowa City man’s arrest.
Iowa City Police say that on the night of June 20th, 2018 27-year-old Julian Ocegueda of Macbride Road was having sex with the alleged victim at a Van Buren Street apartment. The two had agreed that if the woman wanted him to stop, she would tell him and pinch him. The woman said she did both, but Ocegueda continued.
Ocegueda later told the woman he felt badly that he did not stop when he was told to. The woman later recorded a conversation in which she confronted Ocegueda and he admitted he felt badly and got what he called a “sunken feeling” in his heart.
Ocegueda was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 7pm Wednesday and charged with 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse. If convicted, he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
