The Iowa State Patrol says an Iowa City man was involved in a western Iowa crash that sent one person to the hospital.
According to the minimal crash report, 64-year-old Lyle Hass of Iowa City was travelling eastbound on Interstate 80 in Pottawattamie County Thursday night when he came to a near stop due to construction traffic. A second vehicle driven by 48-year-old Jolene Hasbrouck of Audubon rear-ended Hass’s semi and went into the south ditch before coming to rest in the right lane. Hasbrouck was airlifted to an Omaha medical center with unspecified injuries.
Hass was uninjured.
