The former manager of the Muscatine County dispatch and communications center has entered a not guilty plea to charges that she falsified documents.
46-year-old Beverly Griffith is accused of faking hours on her time sheets…hours that investigators say she spent working as a bartender.
Griffith is charged with misdemeanor Tampering with Records. On Thursday she entered a not guilty plea in Muscatine County Court. On Friday a pretrial conference was set for June 18th.
An arrest affidavit says Griffith recorded hours on several time sheets in January and February that she didn’t work because she was tending bar.
Griffith was hired May 31st to manage the Muscatine County dispatch center after spending the past 10 years as a dispatch supervisor in Naples, Florida. She was placed on unpaid administrative leave following the allegations and resigned earlier this month.
