The Iowa State Patrol has released the names of those injured in a crash on Highway 1 when a vehicle crossed the centerline.

The patrol says Miguel Andrade, 25, of Coralville was driving the Subaru Outback northbound which crossed the centerline near Dillons Furrow Road, about 2.5 miles south of Solon, a little before 5:30 a.m. Friday. He, along with his passengers – Tara Crane, 23, of Cedar Rapids, and Sarah Loy, 22, of Mount Vernon – were taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with unspecified injuries.

Police say all three were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The patrol says it still doesn’t know why Andrade’s vehicle crossed the centerline, colliding with a semi being driven by Loras Phillips, 61, of Dyersville. Phillips was uninjured.

The crash caused Highway 1 to be closed for about four hours on Friday as officials attended to the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
