The Iowa Board of Regents has approved contracts with multiple groups representing thousands of employees on the University of Iowa campus.

The Regents on Thursday unanimously approved new contracts with the Campaign to Organize Graduate Students – or COGS – as well as SEIU and AFSCME. Each contract calls for a 2.1 percent increase in pay when they begin on July 1.

The contracts with COGS and AFSCME have already been ratified by those groups, with each voting on them last month. Regents human resources director Tim Cook says SEIU has yet to ratify the contract on its end, saying that vote will take place next week and its leadership has recommended approval.

That contract covers the tertiary health care employees at the UI Hospitals and Clinics.
