Iowa City Police say a drunk driving suspect drew attention to himself by urinating out of his driver’s side door while parked on a downtown street.
An officer reports driving by a loading zone on the 200 block of South Clinton Street just before 1:15 Saturday morning when he observed a man urinating out the driver’s side door of a running 2017 Chevy Sonic. The officer met the driver, identified as 25-year-old Devkeshan Thaker of South Lucas Street, at the driver’s side window. Thaker allegedly showed signs of intoxication, admitted to drinking, and registered a breath alcohol level of .155%.
Thaker is charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
