An Iowa City man was less that subtle when he reportedly tried to smoke a blunt in public Friday night.
An Iowa City Police officer reports seeing 19-year-old Jack Cochran of F Street light a marijuana blunt on the 400 block of East Washington Street just after 10:30 p.m. Cochran then allegedly got on his bicycle and rode past the front of the Iowa City Police station with the lit blunt still in his hand.
Police say the blunt was still in Cochran’s hand when he was stopped by officers, and he allegedly admitted it contained marijuana.
Cochran is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. If convicted he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
