An Iowa City man faces charges after an alleged drunken incident at the Field House Bar over the weekend.

According to the arrest report, 30-year-old Daveon Curry of South Scott Boulevard was at the establishment Sunday around 12:30am when he began winging a chair around and fighting with other patrons.  He was escorted out by staff to awaiting officers, who reportedly asked him how much he had to drink. Curry allegedly responded, “not enough.”

He refused a post-arrest PBT and reportedly was uncooperative when taken into custody.  Police say Curry refused to get into a squad car after being told several times. Officers tried to push and pull him into the squad car, but Curry used his right foot to hook onto the door to keep him from being placed in the back seat.

He faces three simple misdemeanors; public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and interference with official acts. Curry could face up to 90 days in jail if convicted on all charges.

Curry has been convicted of several crimes in the past decade, including theft, extortion, assault, drunk driving, and weapon violations.
