The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says an Oxford man violated a no-contact order by forcing his way into the protected party’s residence.

According to arrest records, 32-year-old Landon Witte of East North Street showed up at the protected party’s Tiffin residence just before 3:30 Friday afternoon and forced his way through the door, breaking the lock and jam. The door reportedly struck a child when it flew open.

Once inside, an argument ensued. Witte allegedly took the cell phones from the adults present so they could not call 9-1-1.

Witte was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 4:45 Friday afternoon and charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, Child Endangerment, Obstruction of Emergency Communications and a No-Contact Order Violation. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of over 12 years in prison.
